We have a proven and effective way to ensure we consistently inspect every critical interior and
exterior component of your home. We look at the general condition of materials, effects on
foundation and dampness or water concerns.
More specifically, we look at the following components:
Exterior
• Roof, Ventilation, Chimney, Flashing, and Valleys
• Gutters and Downspouts
• Foundation
• Driveways, Patios, Decks, Porches
• Landscaping, Grading around house
• Siding and Trim on Exterior Windows
• Air conditioner Compressor
Interior
• Windows, Walls, Floors, Stairways, Fireplaces and Ceilings
• Plumbing System - all visible fixtures, pipes and drains tested for operation
• Electrical System - all light fixtures, wiring where visible, gfci breakers, outlets, sub panels
• Heating & A/C System — Equipment, Visible portion of Heating and Components, insulation,
electrical supply, condensate drain, supply and return ducting
• Attic — Visible Roof Sheathing, Ventilation, Insulation, Ducting and Framing
• Basement — Foundation soundness and evidence of moisture penetration
• Kitchen — Appliances checked for operation; oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, range,
vent hood, microwave
On average, a thorough home inspection takes a knowledgeable home inspector approximately 3
to 4 hours to complete. Inspection duration times vary depending on size and the condition of the
home.
